My work ethos

I love to make my own tools

I believe that making your own open source design tool is the first step to build a resilient practice without Adobe.

p5.zine is a tool for making an interactive and generative zine with p5.js
p5.zine — openprocessing.org
A tool for creating books with code. It can export to PDF with saddle stitch and bleed settings.
p5.book — editor.p5js.org

I was able to produce the 50 Books x 50 Covers Exhibition this semester using my own custom tool. Another alternative is possible.

However, thesis is not about me...

Thesis is about You!

Here are some things I’m familiar with…

Open Source Software Experimental Publishing Digital Toolmaking Organizing Togetherness World-building Mutual Aid Critical Code Poetic Computation Open Data Decolonizing Technology Design Justice Archival Practice Building Database Speculative Design Generative Design Critical Pedagogy Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Natural Language Processing Data Visualization

But I’m also interested in learning about your interests, your practice, and your thesis project. I want to support you in making the work that you want to make, not the work that I want you to make.

We will work well if...

We will work well together if…

No pressure!

It’s just another project!
